After graduating from Changchun University, he began working in 2002 and has been practicing clinical medical massage ever since. From 2010 to 2012, he studied under Wang Youren, one of the sixth cohort of National Mentors in the Academic Experience Inheritance Program for Veteran Traditional Chinese Medicine Experts. He has published multiple papers in the China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy and the Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has also contributed to the compilation of works including the National Technical Operating Standards for Medical Massage for the Blind and the new edition of the Massage Manual.

Sun specializes in treating orthopedic conditions such as cervical spondylosis, thoracic joint dysfunction, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, and knee osteoarthritis using pressing and manipulation and spinal joint regulation techniques. Her expertise also includes treating internal medicine and gynecological conditions like dysmenorrhea, breast hyperplasia, and headaches through meridian point stimulation.
