The Beijing Tuina International Exchange Center Training Base welcomed three Spanish TCM students from July 14 to 25, 2025. They completed a two-week clinical observation at our Chaoyang Branch, successfully concluding their learning journey. All three trainees are practitioners of tuina and acupuncture & moxibustion. Two trainees participated in clinical observation within the Tuina Department and Acupuncture & Moxibustion Department, while one engaged in clinical observation in the Pediatrics Department. They focused on learning external treatment therapies of TCM, including tuina, acupuncture, moxa-moxibustion, and cupping. They gained insights into the clinical application of Chinese herbal medicine and experienced the profound depth of TCM culture.
The hospital places high importance on the international promotion and dissemination of traditional Chinese medicine, particularly external therapies such as TCM tuina and acupuncture. For this international clinical observation program, key faculty members were selected to provide instruction in English. Through practical clinical cases, they delivered detailed lectures and addressed trainees’ questions thoroughly. The trainees, valuing this learning opportunity, observed attentively, reflected thoughtfully, asked questions actively, and took comprehensive notes. This experience broadened their therapeutic perspectives and enhanced their TCM skills.
At the conclusion of their clinical observation, the three Spanish trainees expressed their joy and emotionally shared that their first study trip to China had been more rewarding than they had anticipated. They gained a more comprehensive and profound understanding of clinical diagnosis and treatment in TCM. They pledged to actively apply the newly acquired techniques in practice, with the goal of providing higher-quality TCM services to the Spanish people. They also expressed great anticipation for returning to China once more to further expand their knowledge and techniques in TCM.
