Beijing Massage Hospital International TCM Techniques Training Program Concluded Successfully, Sino-French Cooperation in TCM Reaches New Heights
Time:2025.10.27

Beijing Massage Hospital successfully hosted the "International TMC Techniques Training Program" from August 25 to September 5, 2025. Sixteen medical professionals from France completed the two-week systematic TCM training. These participants were recommended by the French Union of Traditional Chinese Medicine Professionals (UFPMTC) and represented diverse professional backgrounds, including hospital infection control directors, physical therapists, pharmacists, TCM practitioners, and nurses.

This training program focused on practical diagnostic and therapeutic techniques characteristic of TCM, including tuina and acupuncture. The curriculum covered TCM diagnosis and treatment approaches for lumbar disc herniation, hypertension, diabetes, insomnia, headaches, and common pediatric conditions. The program integrated theoretical instruction with clinical observation, featuring classroom lectures and demonstration exercises led by core faculty members. Trainees were also assigned to clinical departments for observational and hands-on training, which significantly enhanced their TCM clinical reasoning abilities and practical skills.

The hospital actively expanded training opportunities by organizing a Sino-French Medical and Health Exchange Meeting on the morning of September 5. The Medical Affairs, Nursing, Rehabilitation and Pharmacy Departments engaged in in-depth discussions with French medical professionals on topics such as Chinese and Western medical management philosophies, infection control, nursing and rehabilitation practices, and pharmaceutical applications. The exchange meeting facilitated mutual learning, insight sharing, and collaborative advancement.

To further promote the dissemination and development of TCM in France and strengthen multidimensional cooperation between China and France, the hospital invited Director Deng Juan of the Beijing Center for International Exchange and Technical Cooperation in Traditional Chinese Medicine, along with the President and Vice President of UFPMTC, to hold a symposium on the current state of TCM development in France and future directions for Sino-French collaboration. Director Deng Juan stated that the Beijing Center for International Exchange and Technical Cooperation in Traditional Chinese Medicine would continue to support the Beijing Massage Hospital in organizing the "International TCM Techniques Training Program." Additionally, the Center will collaborate with UFPMTC, to host diverse exchange activities, further promoting the dissemination and promotion of TCM locally. President Jin Tao stated that future initiatives would focus on developing targeted cooperation plans tailored to the needs of trainees at different levels, exploring avenues to foster high-quality and multifaceted cooperation between China and France in TCM.

At the closing ceremony, French trainee representative Colomes Sylvie delivered a speech reflecting on her learning experience, praising and thanking instructors and mentors for their professionalism and dedication. She expressed a deeper appreciation for the richness and comprehensive scope of TCM. Director Deng Juan, President Jin Tao, and Vice President Zhao Danya jointly presented the training certificates to the trainees, marking the successful completion of this cross-border learning journey for the French participants.

Beijing Massage Hospital will continue to strengthen the development of its training base, expand the scope of training programs, and explore diverse forms of collaboration, laying a solid foundation for accelerating the internationalization of TCM.
